I’m Lauren Turner, a devoted mother of two wonderful children, both born at home. My passion for birth work began while I was breastfeeding my daughter and undertaking doula training to support families in Baltimore, MD, where I live. While I’m not currently taking doula clients, I’ve channeled my dedication to parenthood into my art. As a professional artist, I create positive and uplifting images of parenthood. My artwork is vibrant and intimate, celebrating the deep connections and meaningful moments that define parenthood. I use bold lines and bright colors to highlight the beauty and importance of these experiences.
My artwork has been shown in hospitals, birth centers, lactation rooms, and businesses dedicated to supporting new parents. Through my art, I aim to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the profound journey of birth and family life.
